MR. REGHIS M. ROMERO II


Mr. Reghis M. Romero II is the chairman of the Board of RII Builders, Inc.

His long line of accomplishments as a developer and builder are evidenced by some of the country's major and pioneering infrastructure projects which include the Philippine Army Officers' Quarters & Hospital; Pandacaqui Housing Project; Maharlika Housing; Palarong Pambansa & Sports Complex, Lingayen, Pangasinan; and the Angeles Resettlement Project, among others.

He is most distinguished for the development and reclamation of the 79-hectare Smokey Mountain, where he successfully turned-around a symbol of poverty to a picture of development and progress, and which now hosts “Paradise Heights” residences and the country’s port city, the Manila Harbour Centre.

In 1993, Mr. Romero was an official Philippine delegate to the ASEAN Association for Planning and Housing (AAPH) Summit Conference in Bangkok, Thailand and at the World Environment Convention in Washington, DC. He was recognized as Most Outstanding Employer of the Year by the Rotary Club during the same year.

Earning a well-deserved moniker as the “Wonder Boy of Pampanga” he was cited the Most Outstanding Kapampangan for Business with Civic Consciousness in 1997 and recognized as well as the Most Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Philippines by the Quezon City Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mr. Romero was listed in the 18th Edition of the Chronicle of World Human Achievements of the Marquiz Who’s Who in 2001. From 2004-2005, he served as Supreme Archivist and appointed Assistant Deputy Supreme Commander of the Order of the Knights of Rizal and as Supreme Pursuivant of same organization in 2005-2006.
