Mrs. PURITA RAMIREZ SOLIVEN holds the distinction
of being the first ever Lady President of the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders'
Associations (CREBA), ascending to the position in 2004. She is currently the President
of CREBA International Foundation Inc (CIFI). A pro-active, staunch supporter
and patron of CREBA for the last 20 years, she has distinguished herself as
CREBA VP-Internal Affairs in 2000-01 and Executive Vice President in 2001-02.
A consistent honor student in her school days, Mrs. Soliven holds a
Master of Arts degree in Urban Planning from the University of the Philippines
and a certificate from the University of Hawaii Executive Development Institute
for Tourism, after earning her AB-Psychology degree from the Philippine Women's
University and an Associate in Arts degree (with honors) from the College of
the Holy Spirit.
Her commitment to social advancement manifested itself early ~ with her
socio-civic involvements as Secretary of the Quezon City Jaycerettes, as active
member of the Silangan Lions Club and its President in 1973-74, and as
President of the Lions President League (Ladies Chapter) in 1979.
Mrs. Soliven has ably manned the helm of one of the country's
better-known realty development firms ~ the VV Soliven Group of Companies ~ as
its Executive Vice President and Treasurer since 1968 up to the present. As such, she has enriched CREBA's advocacies
not only with her familiarity with social issues, but also with her vast
experience in grappling with the day-to-day realities of land and housing
development, enhanced by knowledge she has gained from numerous realty
development and management courses in the Philippines and abroad. Mrs. Soliven may be reached at
